Ethan Mathewson Corazza was born at 11:46pm on December 27, 2007 with all his bits and pieces accounted for. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 12 oz. and measured in at 19.5 inches long. Ethan arrived with a fever which broke shortly thereafter, and has been resting in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) while he is undergoing a precautionary antibiotic regimen. Currently everything is going well and all tests have been negative.
Mommy Danielle did a great job with the labor and delivery and was discharged earlier today. She is a little (ok, alot) tired and sore but has been holding up amazingly well.
Ethan will be staying in the NICU until his antibiotic regimen ends, which is expected to be in 3-7 days. Seven days is standard for the regimen, but if all tests continue to be negative he will re-assessed after 3 days and most likely will be allowed to come home. Overall he is doing great aside from being a little sleepy, but after showing up 3 weeks early who can blame him?
